5 Year OldsAn artist friend of mine told me a story about her neighborhood in Nova Scotia during Covid. Two neighboring 5 year old girls come by often to visit and she has shown them her art room and supplies. Over the months she is, at times busy caring for her husband, but gives them permission to go play in her art room. When they finish, they are delighted to show her the masterpieces they’ve created, as she enjoys hearing their joyful giggles.
Recently I participated in an online workshop about reaching beyond your boundaries in paint. Our instructions were to "pretend you're a 5 year old" without all the do's and don'ts you've learned over the years, and just have fun. Above are a few of my fanciful creations. It helps to be reminded to have fun! Thanks to my Canadian friend and Sue Martin, my workshop instructor. Keep it fun!
